Actor Park Sang-min was caught drunk driving for the third time on May 19, according to the Gwacheon Police Station on Tuesday.
Gwacheon Police Station in Gyeonggi handed over Park without detention to the Anyang branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office on May 27 for drunk driving.
Park was reportedly driving his vehicle near his house in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, while drunk around 8 a.m. on May 19. On his way home, he fell asleep in his car in an alleyway near his house and was caught by police who were dispatched after receiving a witness report.
At the time of arrest, Park's blood alcohol concentration was over 0.08 percent, enough to have his driver's license removed.
The police said that there was no damage done by Park as a result of his drunk driving.

"The company confirms that actor Park drove under the influence of alcohol in his car on the morning of May 19," said Park's agency to iMBC on Tuesday.
"This is inexcusable behavior and we feel remorse for causing a controversy that should never have happened."
Park holds previous records of drunk driving. In 1997, he caused a collision while driving under the influence in Gangnam District, southern Seoul. In 2011, he drove a colleague’s car while drunk in Gangnam District, and his license was suspended.
Park debuted in 1990 with the film “The General’s Son,” winning a Popular Star Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and Best New Actor at the Daejong International Film Awards. He is best known for the SBS drama "Giant" (2010) and the KBS drama "The Great King, Sejong" (2008).
